2 new bridges added to the miscellaneous downloads page today: A 30' brick arch built to PRR standards and a steel deck girder bridge with abutments, brick and steel piers as trackside objects. Don't forget to get the PRR 140# bridge track if you don't have it already, it is a required dependency of the bridges.
Here are a couple of generic houses for a company town. Three different models around the same general structure in five different colors. Available in the "Miscellaneous Stuff" area of the download section.
I'm still alive. I'm back from one of my on again, off again breaks from Trainz. It truly is a love/hate relationship. Of all the gondolas I've worked on, I've never made the most common 52' mill gons.... until now. The 42' corrugated gons I made were the first model I ever made by myself for Trainz, and trying to modify it to make these 52's showed just how rudimentary my modeling skills were at the time. Anyhow, I've pretty much rebuilt these from scratch and covered them while I was at it. I've still got a ways to go with it, so they're not ready for release just yet. When they are, they will only be available here though. I'm through giving my money to N3V/Auran to maintain access to their DLS and I refuse to upgrade to yet another crappy version of their software, so I'm locked out of uploading them to the DLS.
It has been quite a while, but I've updated the site with a few new items. 90 foot and 200 foot versions of a Warren truss bridge and a precast concrete retaining wall spline are on the miscellaneous page.
I've been away from the community for quite a while, but lurking around the fringes. Anyhow, here's a little something to show I still can do it. This is inspired by the Akron Machine Shop model by Clever Models. Coming soon to the DLS, but you can click below to get it now.
I rebuilt the downloads section today trying to tidy things up a bit. I still need to fix a few things though. Did a little organizing, made a downloads home page, and hopefully made it a little easier to find stuff. And while you are looking, I added a reskin kit for my 42'6" gondolas. Get it, skin some up and show me what you did!
I haven't updated the front page in quite a while, so here is what has been going on. I've been getting better at 3ds Max and have released quite a few different railcars (as well as have quite a few unfinished works in progress). Look at the rolling stock downloads page to see what is and is not available yet.
I haven't updated the site lately. I've been focusing on modeling in Max and have neglected the site, so I did some updates over on the rolling stock page to show off some of the newest stuff. Go over and check it out!
She's no beauty queen, and it isn't for release, but it IS a building! I have defeated gMax!!!! I have made a building!!! I'm not happy with my roof texture, and Ed sure makes it look easy to find storefront images, but it looks like it is supposed to! Still very shaky with this..... baby steps! baby steps! Woo hoo!!!! Big update to the site today in terms of cleaning things up. I fixed the index pages, added my banner as a logo, the locomotive section has been cleaned up to make things more logical. Stuff that I have done a lot of have their own pages, and there is a new "other" page. DLS helper links have been added, and theoretically should work. All of my SW1500's are listed now with full-size preview images. My reskins of Roger Crouch's EMDs are on the "Other" page. I've had enough of messing with the site for now, so more cleaning to come. I need to make a rolling stock section and maybe demote the cabooses to a sub-type of rolling stock. I need a miscellaneous section too for stuff that does not fit in the "train" category (scenery, etc.).
